How we test
Every casino on this site has been through the same test. This page sets out what that test is, so you can hold our reviews against it.
What a test consists of
We do all of this with our own money, on a real account, before a casino is listed.
- Register an account and complete verification, noting what documents are demanded.
- Deposit real money.
- Claim the welcome offer and play it through its terms, including the wagering.
- Play games across the lobby rather than one title.
- Withdraw our own balance.
- Verify the operator's licence with the body that issued it.
- Read the full bonus terms, not the headline offer.
- Check which payment methods work for a Canadian player.
- Contact support in both English and French.
What feeds a score
The score out of 5 is our editorial judgement of the whole offer for a Canadian player. It weighs the licence, the bonus value once the terms are counted rather than the headline number, banking, game range, and how the withdrawal actually went. It is not an average of user ratings, and it is not supplied by the casino.
Casinos cannot buy a position or a score, and they do not see a review before it publishes. Some links here are affiliate links, disclosed in our Terms of Use and in the footer; a commission has never moved a ranking or a score. A high score does not mean a casino is faultless, and the review body is where we say so.
When we publish a payout time
We publish a measured payout time only where we recorded one. Where we hold no recorded figure, the review and the ranking card carry the operator's own stated range and say plainly that it is the operator's, not ours. That range is a claim by the company selling the product. We do not dress it up as a measurement or sharpen it into a single number.
When we retest
We retest whenever the terms, the bonus or the payout times change, and every review carries the date it was last updated. A casino that declines loses points, and a brand that stops meeting the standard comes off the list.
